Ancient grains are grains that have been planted and harvested for thousands of years. Ancient grains in their "whole grain" form provide fibre, vitamins and minerals, and healthy fats. Our Ancient Grains blend has all nine essential amino acids, fibre, protein, iron and phosphorus. Ancient grain is a good substitute for rice in recipes, and is often used in soups, salads, stews, and casseroles.
To prepare : Rinse grains before use, and add 1 cup grains to 2 cups of boiling water. Cover, reduce heat, and slimmer for 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes, and fluff. Serve 4
