Black Tremella is a very common and nutritious ingredient on Chinese dinner table. It also has been labeled as a medicinal food for thousands of years because of its nutrient content such as iron, protein, vitamins, and other minerals.

When preparing, soak the black tremella in water for at least 20-30 minutes or until all its body become gelatinously soft before cooking with it. The bottom of the Black Tremella will still remain hard and needs to be removed before it can be used. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
